Minimum Wage Increase

On 16th April 2013 the Government announced that Low Pay Commission (LPC) has recommended that the hourly rates for the national minimum wage should increase in October 2013.

This means the rate for adults should increase from £6.19 to £6.31.

The development rate which covers workers aged 18-20 years old should increase from £4.98 to £5.03

The rate for 16-17 year olds should increase from £3.68 to £3.72

>The LPC recommended that the apprentice rate should remain at £2.65.
